From Dictionaries to Digital: My Journey with Words
I work at the intersection of two things that don't always go together: precision and creativity. My job is to make Italian sound like it was never anything else — whether that's a wellness app, an e-learning platform, a luxury brand, or a two-volume novel translated from French.
My background is in Italian lexicography. Before localization was a word anyone used, I was writing dictionaries for Zanichelli and De Agostini, building reference works word by word. That kind of work teaches you something about language that no translation tool can replicate: that every word has a weight, a context, a history. I bring that to everything I do — including the app copy you'll read for three seconds before tapping "next".
Today I work with international brands across EdTech, education, e-learning, health and wellness, e-commerce and SaaS — helping them communicate naturally with Italian audiences through translation, localization, MTPE and SEO copywriting. Some of my clients have been with me for years. I think that says more than any credential.
When I'm not working, I'm usually reading, walking, or untangling yarn. I live in Rome, I don't eat meat, and I sleep less than I probably should. In another life I'd be a travel blogger — in this one, I make other people's words work in Italian.
If your project needs Italian that sounds like it was always meant to be Italian…
